Maths: Circle Segments

Today we worked on a Circle Segments activity from the Figure It Out books. We had to cut circles into halves, quarters, thirds and sixths. We then used the fraction segments to find out more about fractions. If you view each of our individual blogs you will find out what we discovered.

Invention Writing

We have been working hard to complete our Invention writing. We used the 'Klutz Book of Inventions' as inspiration for our writing.

Below are some examples of the inspirational writing that helped us to create our own inventions. The examples also helped us with the specific language we should use.

Please keep looking at our individual blogs. This week for writing we read a book called 'Klutz Book of Inventions.' After reading and discussing different inventions we worked with Miss Carlson to create our own inventions. When we had written and edited our different inventions we worked together to present our writing. We read it out loud and drew a picture of each of our inventions.
