Well done to all teachers, students and parents who used their Shake Out knowledge and dropped, covered and held until the earthquake was over.
We were able to look on GeoNet to see that the earthquake was only 15km north of Opunake.

Week 1 Certificates
All students have worked really well this week and it has been a challenge to choose just one person to receive the Principal's Award. We have been working to complete some art work for the Indoor Exhibits for Calf/Lamb Day. Aila has demonstrated great perseverance and diligence in completing her artwork.
Our PRIDE Certificate recipients for Week 1 are Annabelle, Aila, Jessica, Luke and Shakshi. Aila, Jessica, Luke and Shakshi has put in extra time over the holidays to write post to their blogs. We also welcome Annabelle to Room Totara. She is learning the runnings of our class and it fitting in well to how we work and complete activities.
