Zealous Zoo Writing

This week for writing we looked at a poem by Pie Corbett called Zealous Zoo. Each sentence used alliteration to write about a different animal. After reading Zealous Zoo we created our own sentences. Here is our class examples.

  2. DEAR TROY AND LUKE. I THINK YOUR POEM WAS AMAZING. IT REALLY STOOD OUT. THE THING I WAS REALLY HAPPY ABOUT WAS YOUR ADVENTUROUS VERBS, ADVERBS, DETERMINERS AND ADJECTIVES. I LIKED THE VERB SLITHERED BECAUSE IT FITS AND ALLITERATES WITH THE WORDS SNAKE AND SINKING. FROM RC

  3. DEAR TROY AND LUKE. I AM A PUPIL AT ROMSEY PRIMARY SCHOOL IN ENGLAND. I ENJOYED YOUR POEM IMITATING THE ZEALOUS ZOO. I LIKED HOW YOU USED AMUSING BUT SENSIBLE ADVERBS TO DESCRIBE HOW THE ANIMALS WERE DOING THESE RANDOM ASPECTS IN YOUR POEM. MY FAVOURITE LINE WAS 'THE PIG POLITELY ASKED TO PLAY THE PIANO'.

  4. WE HAVE ENJOYED READING YOUR POEM. IT REALLY MADE US SMILE. WE LIKED THE WAY YOU USED ALLITERATION THROUGHT THE POEM. WE ALSO LIKED YOUR CHOICE OF VERBS. WE THINK THEY ARE ADVENTUROUS. YOUR ADJECTIVES ARE THE PERFECT CHOICE. YOUR CHOICE OF NOUNS ARE THE BEST BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL THE ANIMALS IN THE ZOO. I LIKED YOUR ADVERB 'POLITELY' AS IT DESCRIBED HOW THE PIG ASKED TO PLAY THE PIANO.
