STEM Challenge: The One and Only Ivan

Over the last two weeks we have been reading a story about Ivan a Silverback Gorilla. 
 

Ivan spent 27 years in a cage. Today we started a STEM Challenge. We had to create a cage for an animal using cardboard, clay and five straws. 

 Here are some photos of day one. We will be continuing our engineering designs tomorrow.
