Wall displays

We have made a great start to 2017 and are starting to put our work up in our classroom. 

We have been reading the book 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' and have created a display to go alongside the book.

We have also been working on writing about ourselves to show everyone who we are. Above you will find our presented 'flags' and our Andy Warhol inspired photos.

STEM Challenge: The One and Only Ivan

Over the last two weeks we have been reading a story about Ivan a Silverback Gorilla. 

 

Ivan spent 27 years in a cage. Today we started a STEM Challenge. We had to create a cage for an animal using cardboard, clay and five straws.

Making Poi - Day 2

Here are some more photos of us creating our poi today. Thank you to the parents who helped us create our poi. We have some very talented members of the class who were able to pick up plaiting with four strands. 

Tomorrow we will be able to use our poi for our song.

Work on Writing: Cold Is...

For the last two weeks for Work on Writing we have been working cooperatively to create 'Cold Is...' poems. We have used the Book Creator App to help us put these books together. We then published them as a video.

Movie Making

Our movies are finished and ready to be entered into our MOA Awards. Here is a sneak peak of some of them.

We persevered and worked diligently to get these finished in three weeks. It was a great effort by all.

Green Screen and Moving Making

Here is another snippet of what we are working on this week. First practice using the green screen.
