Year 1 and 2 - Miss Ogle & Miss Beavis

Students are required to have their stationery for the first day of school. We will basically start formal programmes on day one. Students who do not have stationery make it harder for the teacher because they have to find gear for students to use. Because we don’t carry school stationery we often find it hard to find gear for students to use while we are waiting for them to bring their own. Please help us to help your child get off to a good start by having their stationery on day one.

Stylus: These will be available from school. We get them cheaper by buying in bulk. Again Stylus range from $6.00 that last about 6 weeks to $150+ We will try to source a good quality middle of the road stylus for about $12.00. You can purchase your own.

Headphones: We can bulk buys these at a good price. We will have a stock of good quality headphones for $18.00. These are specifically designed for students. Or you can buy your own.

Homework Certificates

Congratulations to our Homework Award Recipients. They have completed their homework each week this term and were awarded for their efforts. Well done to Levi, Alex, Mazzlin, Sienna, Tristan, Dallas, Aila, Shakshi, Sienna-Nicole, Luke and Tamzyn.

STEM Challenge - check out our individual blogs

We are into the last week of school and getting everything completed before we end on Friday. We have been persevering to complete our presentations for our STEM Challenge. Congratulations to Dallas who received the last Principal's Award in Room 15 for 2015. She is a student who is always demonstrating PRIDE at school.

STEM Challenge: The One and Only Ivan

Over the last two weeks we have been reading a story about Ivan a Silverback Gorilla. 

 

Ivan spent 27 years in a cage. Today we started a STEM Challenge. We had to create a cage for an animal using cardboard, clay and five straws.

Congratulations to Kade who received the Principal's Award for Week 8. He has been working on keeping focussed in everything that he is doing.

Making Poi - Day 2

Here are some more photos of us creating our poi today. Thank you to the parents who helped us create our poi. We have some very talented members of the class who were able to pick up plaiting with four strands. 

Tomorrow we will be able to use our poi for our song.
