Farewell Tyrel

This week we bid farewell to Tyrel. He is off to a new school. He is not going far and we will definitely be seeing him around. He will still be participating in our MOA Kluster Awards with his new school. Good luck with your new adventure Tyrel.

We have moved back!!! Woohoo!! Boohoo!!

Tyrel: 

I thought it was fun that we got to do extra jobs like the milk.

Sofia:

I liked that we were right by the deck.

Troy:

I was relieved that we didn't have to stay in the room for that long. I liked that we still got to continue to do our writing, reading and maths while we were in the learning centre.

Alex: 

It seemed strange that we have shifted back to our classroom as I was getting used to the learning centre.

Shakshi:

I didn't like that we had to be extra quiet.

Dallas: 

I liked that we got to enjoy the entire learning centre today.

Sienna:

I had fun in the learning centre.

Certificates for Week 7

Congratulations to Jessica who received the Principal's Award for Week 7. She is a new member of Room 15: Totara and has fitted in really well. 

Also well done to Tyrone, Tyrel, Sienna, Mazzlin and Sofia for receiving the PRIDE Certificates for Week 7.

ITM Rugby Cup

Yesterday we were lucky enough to get to see and have a photo with the ITM Cup. The cup came around each classroom and we were able to have a look at it and talk about it. Here are some of the photos taken of us with the cup.

Certificates for Week 3

Congratulations to Sienna who was awarded the Principal's Award for last week. She has been working diligently in her Daily 5 Reading Activities.

Also congratulations to Tyrel, Christian, Connor, Shakshi and Madison who received the PRIDE Certificates for Week 3.

Our Treasures (taonga)

 Last week we looked at treasures that families might have from family members relating to Anzac's and WWI. Students thought about what treasures they have and some even brought them in share with the class. Below are some photos of treasures (or taongas) that are important to us.

Weet-bix Tryathlon

Well done to four members from our class who participated in the Weet-bix Tryathlon yesterday. 

Luke, Levi, Tyrel and Mazzlin had a great time and received medals for their effort. Mazzlin even won an extra prize of a drink bottle, cap, big ball and mini soft ball.

          

          

PRIDE - Swimming Pool Expectations

Over the last few weeks we have been looking at the rules and expectations while at the swimming pool. We have discussed as a class what we should see while at the pool. Members of the class have been putting posters and videos together to show others what we should do and see.

Certificates for Week 8

Congratulations to Tyrel. He received the Principal's Awards for Week 8. He persevered with his alliteration writing independently while most of the class worked in pairs. Keep sharing your great ideas for your writing Tyrel.

Well done to Luke, Levi, Troy, Alex and Sofia for receiving the PRIDE Certificates for Week 8. The boys worked well with their partners to share their alliteration writing. Sofia received her certificate for her focus during her writing while working with her partner.

Week 7 Certificates

Congratulations to Anika who received the Principal's Award for Week 7. She has been persevering and working diligently, especially in her reading.

Congratulations to Troy who received our very first Principal's Award for Room 15: Totara. He has been demonstrating PRIDE in the classroom and being a really good role model for the rest of the class.
